Capley Found Guilty - Week of August 15, 2016

The manslaughter trial of Robert Chase Capley consumed this week. Capley was charged with manslaughter for recklessly causing the death of 2 year old Addie Whitaker. Capley lost control of a 2003 Ford Mustang he was driving causing the car to leave the roadway, go airborne and flip over and land in a cow field off of County Road 7. Addie Whitaker was a passenger in the car. She was not in a car seat. Addie died entrapped in the car. On Thursday, the jury found Capley guilty as charged of manslaughter. He will be sentenced in September by Judge Mike Jones.
